Dr. Hans-Peter Jönsson,born in 1956, is qualified as a German Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney and is admitted to the European Community Trademark Office in Alicante (OHIM).
He studied chemistry at the University of Kiel and Saarbrücken, Germany and received a master's degree in chemistry 1982. His doctoral thesis was completed in 1985. His work related to three-ring synthesis for the preparation of photochromic dihydroindolizines and investigations of the photochemical behavior thereof. From 1985 to 1988 he was a trainee at the firm. He continued his education at the Lower District Court in Düsseldorf, Germany, the German Patent and Trademark Office and the German Federal Patent Court. He qualified as a German Patent Attorney in 1989 and as European Patent Attorney in 1990. He became a partner of the firm in 1990. He was an elected member of the Executive Board of the Chamber of German Patent Attorneys (Patentanwaltskammer) from 1996 through 2001. He is a member of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi), the Federal Association of German Patent Attorneys (Bundesverband Deutscher Patentanwälte e.V.), the European Communities Trademark Association (ECTA), of the German association for the protection of Intellectual Property Rights and Copyrights (GRUR), the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property Rights and Copyrights (AIPPI), the International Federation of Intellectual Property Attorneys (FICPI). He is a member of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) serving as an Executive Board member of its Industrial Property sub-section. Additionally he was involved in educating candidates on behalf of the Chamber of German Patent Attorneys. His special interests are organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry and chemical engineering, medical health care and environmental technologies. |
